VITO TaskSwitcher

VITO TaskSwitcher is a standalone utility that allows you to switch between running applications and close them with ease using hardware buttons. It comprises all functionality, small size (60kb) and great usability! All you need is to assign a hardware button for the TaskSwitcher, and then manage all running applications without using stylus or leaving fingerprints on the screen.

VITO TaskSwitcher offers following features: launch application list using assigned button;
switch to and close running applications using cursor pad;
use hold button action to acquire extra functions;
use autoselect feature to ease navigation in the list.

TIP. Don't forget to assign a hardware button for VITO TaskSwitcher!

After you launch VITO TaskSwitcher its icon appears in Todays Tray. Once you tap on it you will see running applications list. Tap on items to switch between applications or close them, or use cursor pad and Action button to navigate through the list without stylus.

Tap-and-hold on the tray icon to see context menu. In Options dialog you can set desired action for assigned button hold including:

- Close Active (closes active application);
- Close All (closes all running applications);
- Close Background (closes all running applications except for active);
- Switch to Today (brings you back to Todays main window)

or you can disable this function.

Please, note that Today application, Programs and Settings menus cannot be closed because of system restrictions, but you can choose in Options dialog whether to show them in the list or not.

Autoselect function enables automatic item selection in the list. It means that the program will automatically switch you to the certain application in the list if it is enlightened with blue during few seconds. Or it will activate certain commands in the list (Close Active Task and Close All Tasks). It might be very useful when you hold your PocketPC with both hands or you are out of time to reach stylus. Autoselection offers 1-4 sec. period or can be disabled at all.

Finally, you can switch application list view between List mode and Icon mode. Which better fits your needs? :)
