AirStop Sticky Wireless Edition Information |
The AirStop Client is a wireless endpoint security solution which prevents data leakage by controlling communications adapters and storage devices on laptop computers. Unique features include "Sticky Wireless"(TM) functionality which ensures connection to approved wireless networks only and dynamic adapter control for prevention of wireless bridging attacks.
The AirStop Server provides enterprise-grade centralized monitoring, configuration and tracking. A powerful wireless security policy enforcement solution, the server enables network administrators to remotely configure a specific machine or define individual, group and temporary wireless security policy.
For example, if the administrator has defined specific authorized wireless networks and a user attempts to connect to an unauthorized network, the wireless adapter will be automatically disabled. Likewise, if the software senses use of a wired Ethernet connection, it automatically disables all other communications and storage devices. Once the Ethernet plug is removed, all adapters return to their previous states.
Options for each device include Always ON, Always OFF and Controlled by AirStop. Controlled communications adapters include: LAN, WLAN, Cellular/3G, Bluetooth, Fax/Modem, Firewire. Controlled storage devices include: USB Flash Memory, CD / DVD RW Drive, and Floppy Disk Drives.

AirStop is an endpoint security solution which prevents data leakage by controlling all communications adapters and storage devices on laptop and desktop computers. Designed for enterprise applications, the software enforces security policy by allowing a single communications adapter to be used during a given computing session. For example, the software automatically senses use of a wired Ethernet connection and automatically disables all other communciations and storage devices. Controlled storage devices include: USB Flash Memory, CD / DVD RW Drive, Floppy Disk Drive.
