PC's good frinend
I have had Shield Deluxe for about two months now. This product will not allow me to work in peace. I wanted to get rid of Norton because it slowed down my computer and I chose Shield because I had seen rave reviews of the product in several places on the Net. One thing specifically mentioned in some of the reviews was that Shield was not a resource hog. I consider myself a computer-savvy person, having worked in IT and technical support for some time. This product began to annoy me with a series of seemingly endless popups starting the day I installed it. It was constantly popping up messages with a list of choices for dealing with "threats" and "suspicious" files it had detected. I finally disabled the "proactive" feature because the endless popup "warnings" and messages were about to drive me someplace I didn't want to go. As much as I hate to spend the money, I am seriously thinking of going back to Norton even though I am barely into my subscription for this awful product. |
