Live Chat is a chat software that allows the users of a website or a private network to communicate with each other. The software includes: (a) Client application for Windows (with installer). (b) Chat server for FreeBSD, Linux, and Windows.
Client application features: (a) Multi-room public chat (default and user-created rooms, join/leave notifications). (b) Private chat (avatars, offline messages, chat history, sound alerts). (c) Audio: minimum bitrate 4kbits/sec, "speex" speach codec. (d) Video: minimum bitrate 8kbits/sec, "theora" video codec. (e) Skins: 10+ built-in skins with animation effects.
