HandMap

HandMap is a vector-based map viewer for handheld computers (Palm and PocketPC devices). With suitable map modules it transforms your handheld into a fully functional street atlas. You can search for streets or landmarks, create custom markers and more.The free GPS Plugin software for HandMap transforms your PDA into a you-are-here device. The GPS Plugin software interfaces with any serial connected NMEA 0183 standard GPS receiver (hardware NOT included). See your position, orientation, speed and altitude on the map in real-time.

With HandMap you can search for street names, intersections, or features such as schools, hospitals, or golf courses. A detailed high resolution render of the map is drawn on your Palm or PocketPC PDA. You can zoom out to view the whole map or zoom in up to x128 for a full detail close up view. Our full detail maps feature all roads within the bounds of the map from major highways down to minor lanes. They also include railways, parkland, rivers, lakes, bays and other bodies of water.
