Lissajous 3D's Information
Make animated swirly patterns which change shape. You can use real materials such as gold, pearl, ruby. Many demo patterns included for the screen saver (over a hundred) and you can make new ones to add to it. The classical Lissajous curves are traced by a point swinging back and forth in two directions at once - Lissajous 3D follows this idea into three dimensions, You can set the lighting to sunset, sunny day, dawn, dusk etc.Includes a wizard suitable for young children, which can also be used by older children and adults. You can use its companion program Fractal Tune Smithy to generate intricate fractal music to accompany the saver - you can also set the patterns to respond to chords played in FTS. You can also accompany the screen saver with music in other formats (midi, mp3, wav etc) or select tunes at random from a folder or cd. Many pattern transforming effects included too, some related to things that happen with real world Lissajous patterns, or mathematical transformations of them - pattern drift so they continually change shape, gravity, magnet, inversion (turn inside out), transparency, friction, etc.

You can use Bounce Metronome for anything from a basic steady metronome tick all the way up to the most complex rhythms. That includes rhythms with swing, dance rhythms, polyrhythms and additive rhythms. The new innovative gravity bounce helps you to play along with the metronome for even the most complex rhythms with swing, syncopation and so on.
"It's almost like having your own personal conductor for your practice session"
Most metronomes can only play rhythms with a steady beat. Also though they may have moving lights or other visuals, it is impossible to work with them entirely visually - the visuals don't indicate the moment of the tick precisely. They give some indication of the moment of the tick, but not with the precision of, say, a conductor's baton.
Bounce Metronome overcomes this limitation with its innovative Gravity Bounce. This is a technique that was used in early movies when a bouncing ball bounced on the lyrics to help the audience to sing along with the movie.
The reason this works is that it is very easy to anticipate the moment when a bouncing ball will hit the ground - and sing, play or clap exactly in time with the beats. Conductors also use the same technique - they bounce the baton off an "invisible plane" which makes it easy for the orchestra to anticipate the exact moment of the beat so that they can play along in time.
The result is that you can play exactly in time with the metronome purely visually even without the tick. In fact you can switch off the sound for Bounce Metronome and still use it for practice - which can be useful on occasion.
With this innovation it becomes much easier to practise rhythms with swing and irregular beats as you can anticipate the exact moment of the next beat visually.
