SCREENSAVER DESCRIPTION: Every year has its forest fire season. Eighty percent of wildfires are started by lightning strikes, while others are the result of arson and carelessness. The larger fires can burn through millions of acres of forestland, traveling rapidly in strong winds from treetop to treetop. Fire-generated winds can top 120 mph, and flames can soar 300 feet high. In this screensaver you will see 50 amazing pictures taken by the U.S. National Park Service of numerous forest fires that raged in western states.

In the early 1900s Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii constructed an ambitious plan for a photographic survey of the Tsarist Russian Empire that won the support of Tsar Nicholas II. Between 1907-1915 he completed surveys of eleven regions, traveling in a specially equipped railroad car provided by the Ministry of Transportation. His early color photography offers a vivid portrait of a lost world--the Russian Empire on the eve of World War I and the coming revolution. His subjects ranged from the medieval churches and monasteries of old Russia, to the railroads and factories of an emerging industrial power, to the daily life and work of Russia's diverse population. In this screensaver 52 color photogaphs by Prokudin-Gorskii of Tsarist Russia are presented.

SCREENSAVER DESCRIPTION: Be entranced by the beauty of the rotating focal object in Hypnotica 3D. Hypnosis, in itself, is just a state of mental and physical relaxation, along with a more focused sense of concentration. Hypnosis is not sleep, as is often popularly assumed. Most people find that they are more aware of smells, sounds, and feelings than usual. This concentrated awareness is what allows the hypnotherapist to plant positive suggestions and images in the mind of the client to bring about lasting changes. So, sit back, relax, think positive thoughts, and enjoy Hypnotica 3D. Note: Pixel Paradox makes no medical claims for this product, and offers no warranties for it fitness for any purpose. If you look at Hypnotica 3D for a few minutes you may experience a temporary and harmless "motion after-effect" (MAE) when you stop. Stationary scenes, such as your computer screen, will briefly appear to be moving.
